Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sometimes!

When we’re available for walk-ins, we’ll send out a message day-of on our Instagram Broadcast Channel. Feel free to join to get notified right to your inbox if we have time!

*Keep in mind we’re a small studio and don’t have a shop phone or regular hours.

  • Practice regular self-care in the days leading up to your appointment to prepare your body and mind. Focus on getting a good night’s rest, stay hydrated, and eat a hearty meal before your session.

Sometimes clients feel like they need to shave the area they’re getting tattooed beforehand, but that's not necessary— though moisturizing regularly does help!

  • No tanning, no sunburning! Sunburns can take a few weeks to fully heal, and can’t be tattooed over. Avoid spray-tans as well since they will be wiped off when preparing your skin for the tattoo.

  • Unfortunately not— tattoo artists have multiple clients to draw for each week, and it wouldn't be realistic to go back and forth with everyone.

We do make sure to book plenty of extra time with each appointment though, in case we need to make small changes in person.

  • Please bring a valid ID or passport! Comfort-wise, feel free to bring snacks, a drink, and maybe headphones in case you want to listen to your own music or an audiobook. For longer sessions, some clients like to grab a pillow & blanket to get cozy too.

  • Each artist is different so please check with them beforehand, but cash is always accepted!

  • Our shop is pretty small and cozy, so we really only have enough room for the person getting tattooed. That being said, if it's important or necessary for you to bring another person, please communicate that with your artist and we'll do our best to accommodate.

There are also plenty of shops, cafes, and bars across the street where friends are more than welcome to hang out while you're getting tattooed!

  • Working through the pain naturally can be a grounding experience and add to the magic of getting tattooed, but if you're worried about pain or overstimulation, Tylenol, meditation techniques, and Bactine (which we happily provide) work very consistently.

Numbing creams can be inconsistent, but we may consider it on a case-by-case basis. Just please make sure to communicate with your artist before applying anything to your skin before your appointment!

  • Blood-thinners, antibiotics, and Accutane are some that you want to stay away from, as they can affect the process and healing of a tattoo. If you have to be on antibiotics for whatever reason around the time of your appointment, reach out and we can reschedule. For any other medication, ask your doctor!
